Maths Time

At math time we play games to help us learn.

We were learned to make a number line, we ordered numbers from smallest to biggest. It was fun and hard said Shekhinah.

I thought it was fun too said Czylah.

I am learning to count backwards from 20 and forwards from 1 grinned Lou.

School Assembly

Logan got to hold Muffy because he is so persistent when he does all of his work.  He 

  ready to learn and listens carefully to all instructions.  This is well deserved Logan, well done you are an awesome Tahunanui student.

Gala Craft

In room 11 we have been super busy with our gala craft, butterfly snack bags.  They were fun to make and looked very neat. 

Hockey Coaching

Welshed creep up jack and it was tricky to stop with the ball and freeze.

We were lucky today to have coaching from Nelson hockey.

It was great to learn the hockey Hakka, this is how we stand and hold our stick. 

Dribbling was fun and Miss N  thought we were very good because it is tricky . 

Our last game was cats and rats we had to dribble the ball or tag a player.

We played another game called King of the Square.

In this game we had to push other people's balls out of the square.

Nelson hockey has a winter hockey programme once a week in term 2. This is held after school at Saxton Stadium.

We were lucky today because we had a surprise visitor in our class.

Gala Time

We are helping out by weighing and bagging onions to sell at the gala.

ASB Aquatic Centre

We wrote some great stories about our trip, here are a few....

Yesterday the Year 2's went to the Aquatic Centre with the teacher.  My Mum helped take us children.  We learned about water safety.  My  part was getting saved and jumping in because it was deep.
