Our Surprise Guest....

Today we had a surprise visitor come to school.  He made us laugh and laugh because he was very funny.
He was here to teach us about road safety.  First we sung his make it click song so we could remember about using our seat belts.

He lost his socks because they blew off his washing line on a windy day.  He came to school to try and find them and was thinking about how to be safe along the way.
We learned to walk on the house side of the foot path, looking and listening the whole time.
He looked out for driveways in case cars might come out, especially sneaky driveways that we can not see, often because of trees and gardens.  We need to stop, look and listen to check for cars.
We all helped him to think what to do when we cross the road.
He taught us a poem....

Stop,look listen
Before you cross the street,
Use your eyes, use your ears
Before you use your feet.

Mrs T helped Ronald by reading his story to us.
It was funny to see him pull a very long sign out of his pocket.  Then he talked about how to use our school pedestrian crossing.
We found his sock on his back and helped him get it back.
